Assisted Living Facility

Well its now August 15th 2023. I live in this place and I know for a fact that you end up paying over 2 thousand dollars for your loved one to share a room. Plus the Care givers are not certified whatsoever. At any one time you have a ratio of 3 cg's to 100 patient's that is 34 people to one person. You are not going to get the best care. The medications are not allowed to be in the patient possession and the person who gives them out is only a medication technician not a licensed nurse. They are not supposed to be giving you insulin or poking your finger but they do. The food is not very good and they don't really seem to care if you can't have certain things they don't give you much anyway. Every morning you can have one cup of coffee but it has no caffeine and you don't have a choice! So you should not assume that a place to put your family in will be very good or nice just based on a promotional video.

0:37 that was my dad's bedroom. He passed away at that place over a year ago and so did all the other habitants that lived at this facility! The owner's wife is a total WITCH and never called after my father passed away she only called when he passed. I wish nothing but KARMA! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!

Arlene, my friend of 28 years had long ago asked me to get her care if she ever needed it, as she had no children and no family near her. So that time unfortunately arrived. I was so lost in looking for the best situation for my friend. At first she was in a larger institutional style setting. It was terrible on her and me. Then I looked into group home care. I went to several homes in the area. Then I came upon A& J Assisted Living. I called the owner Angela and asked about coming to see her facilities. She said anytime, I said I am free right now. She let me come right over. They did not have to get things ready before I came. She showed me around both of the homes they had available. Everything was clean and she showed such care to the residents as she was showing me around. I asked her lots of questions, Angela even gave me answers to questions I hadn't knew to ask. The other facilities did not offer this support and guidance to me. She treated me like family before I even decided to bring Arlene there. Arlene has memory issues and is a handful. They are wonderful with her and she feels at home there now. She would not eat much at the other facility she was in. They would bring her the food and it would just sit there and then be taken away. Here they all eat together at the table and that got her to eat too. The food always looks and smells amazing when I visit. The care givers are friendly, caring and professional. I love that I do not have to worry that she's getting great care. The doctor comes to her, Angela takes care of everything Arlene needs. I could not have picked a better place for Arlene. I am so blessed I found A& J Assisted Living.

If you want to warehouse your relative and wipe your hands of them, then this is the place for you. A former friend of mine was in relatively good health; held a job; drove their own vehicle and kept their own apartment. Then their nearest but not dearest kin decided that this person wasn't worth their time and trouble, so they arranged for this person to become a resident at OSL. In no time after arriving, this person is magically diagnosed with multiple issues and of course, is required to take multiple drugs. The "let's keep 'em drugged up" seems to be mantra for these places. Hey why not? More revenue for the drug pushers and it keeps the inmates, I mean, residents in a good mood. Now isolated, ignored by family and alone most times, the slide into oblivion has more than started for this person. My former friend is now just a cash stream for this company and a shadow of their former selves. The only thing golden now is the accounts receivable department at this facility, as they eagerly cash the government checks and subsidies. A sad ending to what should have been their productive and memorable golden years. I would not send or keep my dog here.

Lucy Parker contractually accepted my 88 year old mom w/dementia this per physicians 602 report. During the 7 months of moms residency at La Posada San Dimas, Lucy Parker used her illness of dementia against my mother to complain about my moms behavioral issues. Which was the initial reason mom was placed at this board & care in the first place. Believe me this place DOES NOT practice memory care. Lucy Parkers idea of memory care is farm her residents out side to roast in the 90 degree heat to fend for themselves just so the staff won’t be bothered.

This facility is licensed for 6 bed resident care. The ratio of care this facility was operating under was 8/2, two caregivers to Eight residents, possibly 9 residents. These caregivers wearing multiple hats of cook, cleaning and caregiving. Causing many irregularities in my 88 year old mothers care including physical neglect, problems with administering meds & the lack of daily attention to my mothers needs, resulting in my mothers two bad falls of 3/20/21- multiple patella fracture & 6/23/2021-one of the worst multiple hip femur fractures seen by orthopedics. NOT ONCE DID THE FACILITY NOTIFY ME OR CALL 911!!! Licensing Code violations only worried about her money greedy license then my poor helpless 88 year old mom w/dementia. Mother was forgotten and farmed out to roast in the sun resulting in sun damage and precancerous mole addressed with hospitals dermatology. Lucy C. Parker is money greedy with no respect for her residents no compassion consideration or empathy. My Mothers surgery was high risk, I honestly thought we were going to lose her, hospitalized over a week and not once did she ask how moms doing or let alone send a card. Her only reaching out was to find out if mother was returning to pack in yet another resident into her money greedy assembly line.

My mother received the best, loving care at Beeva Place. They arranged for dental work when she needed it. They cook delicious warm meals and keep their guests comfortable and happy. It is immaculately clean. I always go to visit, unannounced, and find everything to be up to snuff. They are compassionate and cheerful. My dad is still there and is kept very clean , well fed and cared for. The environmnent is very pleasant and homey. I recommend this lovely place.

Both my parents were residents here for around 6 months but when mom passed, we had to look for another memory care san marcos facility and dad moved to silvergaterr.com/alzheimers-dementia-care-san-marcos/ due to his worsening Alzheimer's. Both did a great job with my parents. The caregivers were great both here and at Silvergate and we're so grateful for the wonderful care you all provided for my parents. It did my heart good to see them well cared for. Thank you!!

I wouldn’t put my loved one in this home...my husband went in at 165 9 months later, after almost daily bruising, broken fingers, head injuries, complete sepsis and complete incompetence, he had dwindled down to a 112 skin and bones. My husband had Alzheimer’s. In the end I found him gasping for breath and the nurse on duty said, even though there was an oxygen tank right next to his bed, that they had to wait to hear back from hospice or the probate conservator, another massively incompetent man who is a thief and part of a sick Santa Clara County Probate system. In less than a year they spent every penny of his 4 million dollar estate and in my opinion they killed him, including Palms, with their utter incompetence. Whenever I would complain and show proof with pics and videos, they would make threats against me and tell me lies about the illegalities of me trying to protect and advocate for my 83 year old spouse. Think twice before putting your loved one in this place.

This place has been shutdown 3 times since 2007, the last in 2016 when they almost lost license for good. The woman is an animal lover and “collects” dogs and cats. But doesn’t take care of them.
